The Process
How beta access works
Step 1Join the Discord
The Discord server is where every beta wave is announced and where registration happens. It's also the fastest way to reach the team directly.
Register in #beta-signup
Grab the Beta Tester role and drop your registration in the signup channel. There's no separate form and no waiting on an external site, it happens right there.
Get invited to a wave
Beta waves open in small batches so the team can watch server behaviour closely. When a wave opens, registered members are pinged and invited directly.

What to expect
This is pre-alpha
Systems are still being built and rebuilt in the open. Expect placeholder art, unfinished zones, and features that change between sessions.
Bugs are expected, not a failure state
You are testing infrastructure as much as gameplay. Server-authoritative inventory, full-loot PvP and the class system are all being stress-tested with real players.
Your feedback goes straight to the team
There's no publisher and no support ticket queue standing between you and the developer. Bug reports and feedback posted in Discord are read and acted on directly.

Beta FAQ
Is beta access free?
Yes. Registering through the Discord and playing in a beta wave costs nothing. Patreon tiers exist to support development and grant earlier access to waves, not to gate the beta behind a paywall.
Will my character or progress be wiped?
Almost certainly, more than once. Pre-alpha and closed beta builds exist to break things safely. Nothing you build during this phase is guaranteed to survive into the next wave or into launch.
Do I need a powerful PC to test?
No. Stroll of Eternity is a 2D top-down MMORPG built to run on modest hardware. A stable internet connection matters more than raw specs for a networked pre-alpha build.
How often do new waves open?
As often as the current build is stable enough to invite more players into, without a fixed schedule. Announcements always go out in Discord first, which is why registering there is the only way in.
